As it turned out, this cheaper option was nothing more than an elaborate con, one which involved Jessica Hardy to pour acid over her arm to remove the tattoo. In the end however, the treatment didn’t work, a fact Jessica found out once she’d applied the ‘treatment’ six times!

Her skin has become red raw, scabby and inflamed and all traces of the tattoo were still there. She said: ‘It felt like someone had poured boiling water on my arm then got a lighter to it. After five minutes it went white and blistered, then started peeling, and after three days it went entirely scabby.’

Realizing that this venture was a failure, Jessica sought professional help in her local tattoo artist who said:  ‘I have never seen anything like it before, my first reaction was shock, she shouldn’t have taken such a drastic measure to use acid on her skin.’

He recommended laser removal surgery but said that Jessica would have to wait up to nine months before she could think about that as her current wounds would still be healing.

It just goes to show that when it comes to tattoo removal, you need to let the professionals take care of it as you never know what kind of product you’re getting when you look for solutions online.
